It is a myth that cashmere can only be dry cleaned. If the clothes are not very dirty, you can often just air them outside in the fresh air overnight.

However, you can easily wash your cashmere using a wool program in your washing machine. You must use the correct detergents developed for cashmere.

Cashmere comes from the cashmere goat and must be cared for in the same way as your hair. It is essential to use products that do not degrease the fibers to maintain the softness and achieve longer durability of your cashmere products. By retaining the fiber's moisture balance, they gain greater elasticity and do not break as easily, and you will find that the cashmere does not wear out as quickly in exposed areas.

Before washing, turn the clothes inside out. Then, choose a wool program with a short wash on max. 30 degrees celsius.

Take the washed cashmere out of the machine, gently squeeze the rest of the water out of the clothes without twisting it, and lay it flat on a dry towel. Roll up the towel and gently squeeze the remaining water out of the clothes.

Roll out the towel again and lay the clothes flat on a new dry towel, making sure the clothes now lie in their proper shape.

Let the clothes dry.
